- We bring the showroom to you. Choosing the right window coverings can be a frustrating experience. Wandering from store to store, you are swamped with thousands of choices: colors, styles and fabrics. However, the right choice is determined by your specific needs and the location elements of your home or office. Do you have trouble sleeping because your current blinds let the morning sun shine through? Perhaps you need a blackout option. What is the dominant color palette in your home? Will the color of the sample in Home Depot under fluorescent lighting look the same in your home? What is the orientation of your windows? Are you planning any other renovations? If you don’t know the answers to these kinds of questions, or can see the samples in your home or office’s specific environment, you may very well walk out of the showroom with a product that isn’t right – for you!

Sorting through design magazines, watching HGTV until your eyes glaze over, dashing from big box stores in the ‘burbs to boutique designer shops in Yaletown, dealing with general contractors and a dozen trades…please just make it stop! Well, we can’t solve all your renovation woes, but we can simplify the process of finding exactly the right window coverings for you.
- How do we do that? Simply, of course. Here’s the process. Our design consultants will arrange a time to meet with you at your home or office when it’s convenient for you. Evenings, weekends, or during the day – it doesn’t matter. (See the advantage of not having a storefront where you’re locked in to “regular hours”?) During the initial consultation (did I mention that it’s free?), we will figure out what you need, and we will help you choose the right style, colors and fabrics that work with your home. We will then precisely measure your windows, review any options such as motorization, etc. , and then work out a quotation for you, usually within a day or two. If we get the go-ahead from you, we take a deposit (these are custom window coverings made to measure, after all!), and place your order. Once the order arrives, we book an installation date that is convenient for you, and then install the blinds to your satisfaction. Then we collect the balance, and probably give you a bottle of wine or a box of chocolates to celebrate your new window fashions.
